I keep having the same response over and over again when I look at your blog these days, and so I finally thought I’d break down and send you a note about it. The response is…

Basically the story is that he was married to Mia Farrow for awhile. When he was in his 50s I think and Mia was 40-ish, Mia adopted an asian refugee girl from overseas. I think the girl was about 16 or 17 when they brought her home. Certainly a noble thing to do, but…
Allen wound up having an affair with the girl (named Soon Yi) and divorcing Mia Farrow in order to marry her!! That he wasn’t prosecuted for statutory rape leads me to think she must have been over 18 when this all went down, but she couldn’t have been much older than that.
I may be a little fuzzy on some of the details…
Anyway, after that episode I think it became impossible for a lot of people to encounter anything having to do with Woody Allen without feeling a bit creeped out. I have zero interest in telling you what you can and can’t put on your blog, and it is a cool picture… i just wanted to make sure you were aware of his history, lest you wind up eliciting a response you didn’t intend.
