We ran into this on our way to school last Thursday (8/30). Protests are going on right now because the proposed public education reforms and cutbacks were approved on Wednesday. It’s pretty remarkable how many young people, in Rome alone, care enough about politics and education to organize something like this. Makes me grateful for the environment I’ve grown up in, and also reminds me that I’ve taken some things for granted. Here’s another short clip of the same protest.
