I made a really good FAIL today in the LOLbuilder!
I’ve felt a bit clueless, lately, as to what is happening to the American economy. I know it’s quite bad, but I don’t know how bad.
I’ve tried to stay up-to-date by means of major news websites, etc. but I don’t think I know enough about how our system actually works to begin with.
For example— I know Dow Jones dropped over 700 points yesterday, but I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t even know what that means, other than that it’s bad.
In Rome, all we’re really exposed to is the declining value of the dollar. I’ve also had a couple friends whose parents have gone into panic-mode and wired them money, or told them to make huge withdrawls.
I was wondering if anyone could re-blog and briefly sum up what’s going on, and explain how our economy is changing. Additionally, if you have any advice for people who aren’t very economically educated, please share it. If you feel strongly about a particular proposed solution, let’s hear that as well.
