SKRABL
Last night Tim, Matt, Shelly, and I  played phonetic Scrabble.  Basically, if you can pronounce whatever letters you play, and have them sound like a word, you’re good.  It was a bit more challenging than I anticipated, because you have to keeping flipping your brain back and forth from thinking about real words, to thinking about phonetic spellings.
Some of my favorites:
SOSAJE (Sausage) by Shelly
KRAN (Crayon— pronounced midwestern style) by Shelly, and
GNAME (Name) by Matt…… which took a bit of convincing, but I was laughing too hard to protest.  He cited ‘gnome’ in his defense.
I came up with a killer word:  ERIETITE (Irritate)…….You have to pronounce it in a British-Cockney accent for it to sound right, but I thought it was fool-proof…  it didn’t fly.  Which was bollox if you ask me…
P.S.  Mom, please disregard ‘LABYA’.  It was Shelly.
