Last night my dad was asked to testify before Congress on Thursday morning in D.C. in an attempt to pass a bill about hate crimes that is based on the outcome of the Matthew Shepard case.
They’re bringing him in to testify as an expert witness partly because of his leadership on the Peace, Unity, & Purity task force within the Presbyterian Church, USA, where he recently helped pass an amendment allowing homosexuals the opportunity to be ordained as ministers within the Presbyterian Church USA.
I’m really proud of him :)
