I recently decided to entertain the hype this book created (about 3 years late) by checking out A Million Little Pieces in audiobook format.
I hated it.
Every second of it.
I found myself getting audibly lippy with my car radio because I got so frustrated with how big of a unnecessarily rude, self-worshiping D-Bag the lead character (James) was.
The writing style bothered me as well— Granted, it could have partially been because it was being read to me in someone else’s voice rather than my own, but I got so sick of listening to the overdramatized writing.
Lame.
